About the Role
This position is for a Hotel Auditor assigned to a client, focused exclusively on evaluating hotel operations and guest experience. The role involves conducting anonymous (undercover) hotel inspections, assessing service quality, cleanliness, and compliance with established standards, and submitting detailed evaluation reports.
This is an Independent Contractor position, hired through XML International and assigned to a client.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct undercover visits to assigned hotels, acting as a regular guest.
* Evaluate and document key aspects of the hotel experience, including:
* Guest service quality and professionalism
* Cleanliness and overall condition of hotel facilities
* Ambiance and general presentation of the property
* Staff behavior, responsiveness, and knowledge
* Compliance with brand standards, safety, and operational protocols
* Accurately complete detailed inspection reports based on the visit.
* Submit evaluations within defined timelines.
* Follow all assignment-specific instructions and confidentiality requirements.
* Maintain objectivity and professionalism during all inspections.
* Work independently while adhering to established guidelines.
Qualifications
* Strong observational, analytical, and written communication skills.
* High attention to detail and ability to remain objective.
* Comfortable working independently with a flexible schedule.
* Ability to follow detailed inspection guidelines and protocols.
* Previous experience in hospitality, hotel operations, quality inspections, or auditing is a plus.
* Reliable transportation.
* Access to a smartphone and/or camera for documentation.
* Willingness to travel locally for hotel inspections.
Contract & Employment Structure
* This is an Independent Contractor role through XML International, assigned to a Client.
* Self-Employment Registration is mandatory in your country in order to:
* Report income
* Issue tax documentation
* Pay taxes based on earnings received
Compensation
* Salary: EUR 200 per audit
* Payment is made monthly.
* Any additional expenses related to travel, transportation, or hotel inspection requirements are reimbursable separately from the salary, according to project guidelines.
Selection Process
* Our team will contact you to schedule an interview with the Hiring Manager.
* If the process advances positively, an offer will be extended.
* Once the offer is accepted, the Onboarding team will contact you to begin the onboarding process.
Workload & Hours Structure
This role operates on a project-based assignment model. Auditors are scheduled based on audit availability and geographic needs.
* On average, an auditor completes approximately four (4) hotel audits per week.
* Each audit is scheduled individually and coordinated in advance.
* There are no fixed daily working hours; audits are performed according to hotel availability and project requirements.
The number of audits may vary slightly from week to week depending on project demand, location, and seasonality.
