We are looking for an Identity & Access Management System Engineer to work at EUMETSAT's premises in Darmstadt, Germany. You will be part of our experienced and supportive Network Security team based at our prestigious client's premises.
About the client and location
The European Organisation for the Exploration of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) is a political organisation comprising of 30 European member states. EUMETSAT operates satellites to monitor weather, climate, and the changing environment. They are responsible for helping to isolate potentially dangerous weather conditions that could affect air travel, farming and other key service industries.
Tasks and activities
The scope of work will include:
* Supporting Security Engineering activities in scope of the maintenance and operations of a custom built IAM System at EUMETSAT.
* End-to-end on-boarding of applications to the IAM solution, including coordination with stakeholders.
* Documenting all relevant processes in a repeatable, detailed step-by-step procedures.
* Regular reporting on progress, blocking points and results.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
* University Degree or equivalent in IT Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or another relevant field.
* At least 4 years proven experience in Identity Access Management Systems in complex environments.
* Experience delivering services in an operational environment, in a customer-facing support role (e.g. L1 support), using a ticketing system (e.g. Jira).
* Strong IT background with hands-on experience e.g. security engineering, Linux administration or similar.
* Excellent technical troubleshooting skills on OS and Application layers.
* Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
* Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Other European languages are a plus.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
* Experience with Python, Software testing and Agile PM.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines implemented in GitLab.
