My client has introduced state-of-the-art training facilities within the surgical world in recent years, including in Germany.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Create and implement effective sales strategies and lead country sales personnel toward achievement of company sales objectives.
2. Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.
3. Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development, and by comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
4. Manage sales, budgets, compensation programs, and incentive planning.
5. Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development, and retention of sales staff.
6. Supervise through field visits, observations, and measurement of results, including performance appraisals and salary reviews.
7. Proactively identify changes in healthcare, delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies accordingly.
8. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
9. Manage to meet or exceed sales forecasts and handle country P&L.
10. Partner with the sales team to develop key customer relationships.
11. Establish effective collaborations with other departments to address key business issues and opportunities.
12. Maintain competitive knowledge to adjust sales strategies.
13. Attend clinical meetings, seminars, and conferences as appropriate.
Skills/Experience Required:
* Fluent in English and German, both speaking and writing.
* 5-10 years’ experience selling into German hospitals.
* Experience with surgical product ranges, e.g., sutures, staplers.
* Ability to manage a large team.
* Preferred: background in endosurgical medical devices.
