Job Description
Are you passionate about sustainability, innovation, and making a real difference? Our one-year trainee program is your springboard into a long-term career in Sales Engineering. You’ll be working on exciting topics such as Pre-Incineration, Waste, Textile Sorting, and other emerging segments and applications.
Your Trainee Year – What to Expect:
* Deep dive into TOMRA’s waste sorting technologies and business segments
* Collaborate on real projects and customer visits
* Rotate through key departments: Test Facility, Service, Project Management, Sales
* Receive training in soft skills – from presentations to stakeholder communication
* Be mentored by experienced colleagues who support your growth
Your Future Role – As Sales Engineer:
* Drive growth in segments like Pre-Incineration, Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), and Textile Sorting
* Consult and collaborate with internal teams and international customers
* Identify new markets, analyze system performance, and develop tailor-made solutions
* Prepare studies, market research, and compelling presentations for clients and conferences
* Be part of a global mission to advance circular economy technologies
Qualifications
* Degree as B.Sc./M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or Waste Management
* Fluency in English and German (mandatory)
* Based near Koblenz or Bad Wildungen is a plus
* Willingness to travel extensively (70%+) and work in an international environment
* Valid driver’s license
* Excellent communication skills and strong cultural awareness
* Curious, creative, and solution-oriented mindset
* Genuine interest in sustainability, recycling, and innovative technologies
