As part of our Portfolio Management & M&A team, you will work at the intersection of strategy, investments, and operational performance. You’ll support the entire investment lifecycle – from origination and deal execution to value creation within our portfolio companies.
Your Tasks
Value Creation & Portfolio Support
* Support Operating Partners and portfolio company teams on targeted value creation initiatives
* Develop a deep understanding of company strategies, market dynamics, and competitive positioning
* Analyze operating and financial performance across the portfolio
* Build driver-based operating and valuation models (DCF, LBO, CCA/CTA) to assess impact on equity value and returns
* Prepare high-quality analyses and materials for investment committees and senior leadership
M&A Origination & Execution
* Contribute to pipeline development: build target lists, conduct market and competitor analyses, and develop investment theses
* Support M&A processes end-to-end (buy-side, sell-side, and bolt-ons) – from origination to closing
* Perform transaction-specific valuations and returns analyses
* Coordinate workstreams across internal teams, banks, consultants, and law firms
* Prepare decision-grade presentations and materials for management and external stakeholders
Your Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field
* 1–2 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking (M&A), Private Equity/Venture Capital, Strategy Consulting, or Transaction Services/Financial Due Diligence (strong internship track record also considered)
* Strong interest in business models, competitive dynamics, and market structures
* Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
* Familiarity with data sources such as Capital IQ, FactSet, and broker research
* Structured, hands-on approach and strong process discipline under time pressure
* Confident communicator with the ability to present clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders
* Fluent in English and German
* Team player with good judgment, curiosity, and a self-starter mindset – respectful, pragmatic, and eager to learn
