We have an opportuniy for an Intern R&D Engineer (m/w/d) to join our team in Ratingen.You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering innovative solutions that enhance the safety of our customers’ operations in the field of fire alarm technology. You will engage in cutting-edge research and development projects that drive innovation and technological advancements. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and scientists, contributing to the development of new products and solutions that address real-world challenges.
This role is fully onsite and is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell.
Key Resposibilities:
1. Development of firmware for innovative systems in the field of fire alarm technology
2. Introduction and integration of AI-powered firmware development methods
3. Co-design of intelligent sensor technology with machine learning
4. Implementation of new technologies for precise and fast fire detection
5. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams of hardware, software and AI
Key Skills & Qualifications
6. Recent Graduate of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, software or hardware engineering.
7. Sound knowledge of the programming languages C, C++ and Python
8. Required Languages: English C1-C2- German B2
9. Experience in the field of embedded systems and ideally with AI frameworks
10. Analytical thinking, innovative spirit and team spirit
