The role of Prudential Supervisor for Investment Fund Managers is a key position within our organization.
Responsibilities include the supervision of a portfolio of investment fund managers in accordance with laws and regulations governing undertakings for collective investment and alternative investment fund managers.
This involves analyzing financial reporting, annual reports, and management letters, as well as issuing documents and control reports. The designated contact for all queries on IFMs will also be required to participate in meetings with representatives of the IFMs, draft minutes of such meetings where applicable, and prepare and participate in on-site inspections of IFMs.
A strong understanding of regulatory and legal obligations that IFMs must adhere to is essential, along with full professional proficiency in written and spoken French, English, and German; knowledge of Luxembourgish will be considered an asset.
Candidates meeting the required conditions will be asked to apply for admission to the status of civil servant under a permanent contract. Prior to contract conclusion, candidates must submit an extract from their criminal record to prove conduct and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing authorisation requests for IFMs, including initial requests or subsequent modifications
* Performing prudential supervision of a portfolio of IFMs, involving analysis of financial reporting, annual reports, and management letters, as well as issuing documents and control reports
* Being a designated contact for all queries on IFMs
* Participating in meetings with representatives of the IFMs and drafting minutes of such meetings where applicable
* Preparing and participating in on-site inspections of IFMs
* Analysing questions relative to the legal framework of IFMs
* Drafting analytical memos for management decision-making purposes
* Cooperating with other CSSF departments on transversal files/subjects
* Participating in cross-functional working groups set up within the OPC business line and following up on development projects
* Contributing to the development of the legal framework and supervisory tools of the CSSF
Required Profile
* Four- or five-year university degree (Master level) in economics, finance, management, or law
* Minimum professional experience of 3 years within the field of UCIs and/or IFMs
* Good knowledge of regulatory and legal obligations that IFMs must adhere to
* Full professional proficiency in written and spoken French, English, and German; knowledge of Luxembourgish will be considered an asset
* Ability to work autonomously, ability to work in a team, analytical skill, communication skill, excellent writing skills, synthesis skill
* Proactive, rigor, flexibility, sense of initiative/keen to take initiatives
