System Administrator (m/f/d)
Location: Remscheid, Germany (on-site preferred, remote possible)
Languages: Fluent German (C1 level) and English
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable system administrator to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure in a regulated environment (GMP). The successful candidate will ensure the stability, security, and compliance of our systems, provide technical support to internal users, and coordinate external service providers.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies, combining operational responsibility with process-oriented documentation and continuous optimization.
Main tasks
* Windows administration: user and group management, Active Directory maintenance, and policy configuration
* Microsoft 365 administration: account management, license assignment, and access control
* GMP compliance: creation and maintenance of documentation (e.G., SOPs), compliance with validation and audit requirements (prior knowledge is not required but is advantageous)
* Operational GMP tasks: Performing and checking backups, ensuring data integrity, and managing access policies.
* Hardware management: Procuring and configuring end devices and peripherals (e.G., laptops, hard drives).
* Network administration: Maintenance of network components such as switches, access points, VPN connections, and firewall rules.
* Peripheral device management: Support and maintenance of printers, DECT phones, and other IT equipment.
* First-level support: Troubleshooting user problems and providing support with software installation and configuration.
* Data transfer: Secure handling of customer data and partner data transfers.
* Coordination of service providers: Management of support requests from external service providers.
Additional knowledge (advantageous)
Experience or interest in the following areas is advantageous:
* Virtualization technologies (e.G., Proxmox)
* Linux system administration
Qualifications and requirements
* Proven experience in IT system or network administration
* In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and support processes
* Structured, documentation-oriented approach to work
* Strong problem-solving skills and service-oriented mindset
* Excellent communication skills in German and English
