Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Dmart Commercial Director for foodora, Yemeksepeti and foodpanda. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing the commercial strategy of our Dark stores in APAC, EU and Turkey.
In this role, you will:
1. Develop and implement the commercial strategy for our 300 Dark stores (Dmarts), aligned with the company's overall business objectives
2. Lead the establishment and growth of the commercial team, including hiring, training, and mentoring sales and business development professionals
3. Lead the teams responsible for building the assortment, pricing, promotions, campaigns, private label, and commercial operations.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and operations, to ensure a seamless and efficient end-to-end commercial process
5. Analyze the retail landscape, market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions and continually optimize our offerings
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, distributors, and other relevant industry players
7. Negotiate and finalize contracts and agreements with strategic partners, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company
8. Set and monitor performance metrics for the commercial team, providing regular reports and insights to senior management
9. Drive innovation and creative thinking to improve our market position and achieve a competitive advantage in the European retail industry
10. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the European commercial team, promoting professional development and employee engagement
11. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies throughout the commercial operations
Qualifications
12. 8+ years of experience in commercial roles within the retail industry, E-Commerce / Q-Commerce experience is a big plus
13. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus
14. Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing teams, with a track record of fostering a dynamic and motivated work environment
15. Strong understanding of the retail landscape, market dynamics, and consumer behavior
16. Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with a history of successful partnerships and collaborations
17. Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities
18. Previous experience in recruiting and developing commercial teams, nurturing a customer-centric approach to achieve exceptional results
19. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage both internal and external stakeholders effectively
