This involves establishing and maintaining key scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within the territory and serving as a scientific expert to the medical community, facilitating the appropriate exchange of scientific information.Key expectations include developing and maintaining an advanced scientific and product knowledge base, communicating key insights, and disseminating critical scientific data to external stakeholders such as academic, scientific, clinical experts, and patient organizations.The Sr. MSL will ensure timely input on field medical engagement plans supporting clinical development and commercialization programs. Additionally, the role involves supporting clinical trials in partnership with the clinical development team and researchers.The Sr. MSL should master MSL responsibilities and potentially take on additional leadership roles within projects and initiatives. The role requires working independently with minimal oversight, being accountable, and assisting the Country Medical Director as needed.Location Classification: Field-BasedThis role is classified as field organization work, with expected travel and engagement with external partners, collaborators, and third parties regularly on behalf of SpringWorks. #LIRemoteEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Identify KOLs and establish strong scientific relationships across disciplines at local, regional, and national levels.Serve as a scientific expert and facilitate scientific information exchange.Provide expert opinions and feedback on new data and trends, translating this into strategic recommendations.Act as a primary liaison for investigator-initiated research.Collaborate with Clinical Operations to enhance patient enrollment and clinical trial awareness.Support medical congresses, advisory boards, and scientific programs.Lead national projects such as congresses and engagement initiatives.Familiarize with country-specific pharma regulations related to MSL activities.Provide clinical presentations and respond to unsolicited questions appropriately.Develop and execute territory plans aligned with regional and national strategies.Build relationships with clinical decision-makers at local and national institutions.Partner with cross-functional teams to develop health economic and outcomes data.Mentor new or less experienced MSLs.Manage relevant medical activities and projects, including onboarding and training programs.Support the translation of medical strategies into territory-specific plans.Contribute to national and regional medical strategies and plans.Provide scientific support for medical advisory boards and other discussions.Perform other duties as assigned.Role Requirements:Advanced scientific degree or equivalent (MD, PhD, PharmD).Minimum 5 years of MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry.Experience in rare diseases, especially oncology or neurosciences, preferred.Mastery in presenting clinical/scientific information.Proficiency with business software (Veeva CRM or similar, Adobe Professional, MS Office).Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.Knowledge of country-specific pharma regulations.Leadership skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.Strong relationship management and collaboration skills.Proactive, goal-oriented, and adaptable to uncertainty.Decision-making skills, especially under uncertain conditions.Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.Fluency in local language(s) and high proficiency in English.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Personal initiative, teamwork, flexibility, and innovation.Alignment with SpringWorks values of empathy, humility, ownership, and accountability.Effective communication skills for remote and hybrid environments.Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.Physical Requirements:Residence within the territory.Valid driver’s license in good standing.High travel requirement (~70%), primarily within the country.Compensation & Benefits:Competitive benefits package.
