Job Description We are on the lookout for a talented Engineer II, Golang - Observability Platform to join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team on our journey to alwaysDeliverAmazingExperience. As a member of the Tech Foundation - Developer Platform, you'll support Delivery Hero’s rapid innovation and growth. You'll work on foundational systems that enable faster feature development, security, and reliability across our global engineering community. Every enhancement you make will contribute to our teams' ability to build, scale, and deliver quality features—ultimately impacting millions of users worldwide. You will join our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) organization, specifically the Observability team. We are a platform team responsible for building and maintaining the core infrastructure that empowers all other engineering teams at Delivery Hero to effectively monitor their services. Our mission is to ensure seamless telemetry ingestion, from the various services across the company to our observability vendor. We also manage the company's alerting and synthetic monitoring products, ensuring engineers can promptly react to regressions and efficiently debug distributed outages. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend software engineering with crucial aspects of systems engineering, as a significant portion of our work involves OpenTelemetry collectors configurations and extensive use of Terraform. In this team you will: Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance GoLang software solutions for critical observability tooling, including our telemetry ingestion pipelines. Implement and manage OpenTelemetry collector configurations to ensure efficient and standardized data collection across diverse services. Utilize Terraform extensively to provision and manage our observability infrastructure. Collaborate with engineering teams across Delivery Hero to understand their telemetry needs and provide effective solutions for monitoring, alerting, and debugging. Maintain coding standards and actively participate in code reviews, ensuring a high-quality, maintainable, and efficient codebase. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues in both software and infrastructure, continuously seeking opportunities to optimize performance and scalability of our observability platform.
