Collins Aerospace in Heidelberg supplies integrated navigation and communications systems for a wide range of military applications and is a global leader in satellite reaction wheel technology.We are redefining aerospace.The RoleDeployment and development of the Mission Systems technology management program in the EMEA and APAC regions under the direction of the Associate Director for Technology Management.This role will serve as the lead for our Jurisdiction & Classification (JC) and a Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HS) activities supporting our facilities located in the UK, Germany, Australia, France, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.The position requires both a high-level understanding of the products and an intimate knowledge of the regulations surrounding their export and import, including U.S regulations as they may apply.The key responsibilities and attributes for this position are:Provide JC and HS support and training to the relevant teams on the various regional regulations that may apply to our locations in the UK, Germany, Australia, France, Taiwan, South Korea, and JapanProvide local support and understanding of the US extra-territorial controls within the following U.S. Regulations; Export Administration Regulation (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR)Perform sophisticated JC analysis and validation (resolution of JC escalation, supplier issues, etc.)Perform HS classificationsSupport investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosuresSupport development and delivery of formal and informal J/C and HS Focal trainingExperience/ Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 6 years of prior relevant experience ORAdvanced Degree in a related field and minimum 4 years experience ORIn absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is requiredBS/MS Engineering or Business AdministrationEngineering and/or technical backgroundAerospace (program/technical) experienceExperience with classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO) HSExperience with EMEA regional and national regulations on classificationExperience with US Export Regulations; specifically the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL), ITAR and the United States Munitions List (USML)1 to 2 years working with GT and related export/HS classification mattersBusiness level German requiredBe part of the Collins Heidelberg Team:Join our multicultural team and work with people from different countriesFlexible working times30 days of vacationIndustry-specific payCompany sponsored pension planCorporate health managementInternal and external training opportunities to promote the continuous learning and development of our employeesGlobal career opportunities at over 300 sites worldwideRTX adheres to the principles of equal employment.
