Job Description Senior Project Development Manager- Solar and BESS We are currently looking for an experienced site project developer for large-scale battery storage in Germany Salary: Competitive and attractive - for discussion Hours: Full time, 40 hours/week Location: Remote within Germany, preferably in Eastern Germany Our client is a leading international developer of solar farms and battery storage systems. They develop and invest in solar and storage power plants, covering a broad spectrum of the entire value chain on a global scale. Typically developing solar farms from around 50MW, energy storage from around 100MW. They are a leading energy storage company. Your tasks are as follows: You will be responsible for initiating and developing battery storage and solar projects in an assigned region in Germany. You will take responsibility for building a project pipeline for your region. You will contact landowners to identify and evaluate potential sites for acquisition and initiate contract negotiations. You are the first point of contact for the approval authorities, municipalities and other project stakeholders. You coordinate building rights with the relevant authorities and support projects until they are ready for construction. You coordinate grid connection applications and liaise with the grid operators. Your tasks include developing the acquired projects, managing the progress of the project and coordinating the project participants (e.g. planners). Requirements You have a Bachelor's degree in economics, renewable energies, real estate, architecture, landscape planning, agricultural sciences or a comparable degree. You are fluent in German, speak English (at least a good conversational level) and have a European driving license. You have several years of experience in the field of site project development in the area of renewable energies or real estate project development About you You are enthusiastic about renewable energies and the energy transition You enjoy communicating with different people and enjoy working in international teams. You are able to work independently and effectively. You have a home office and a driver's license. You are able to travel within a specific region of Germany to meet property owners and represent Our client to local politicians and authorities. You are self-motivated, proactive and have good self-management skills. You will have good problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and propose creative solutions. Where you will work You will be working from home and can be located anywhere in Germany. You must be able to travel within a given region of Germany and occasionally come to an office in the UK
