For our client, Fieldpiece Instruments, we are looking to fill the position of GM, EMEA with a passive-seeking candidate that has previous P&L leadership experience in an international environment, preferably in the Test & Measurement Instruments and/or HVCAR industry, an outstanding career in B2B Sales with progressive roles & responsibilities, experience in indirect sales including Distributor/Channel Partner, and a proven track record of balancing strategy and commercial excellence in market entry and scaling up businesses. The ideal candidate is a hands-on servant leader that can build and develop people, processes, and organizational structures to drive sustained growth.

POSITION OVERVIEW

At Fieldpiece, we’re not just delivering tools—we’re empowering HVACR professionals to excel every day. We’re seeking a General Manager to champion our commercial growth in the EMEA markets.


This isn’t a role for figureheads or sideline leaders. We’re looking for someone who’s as comfortable in the boardroom setting strategic direction as they are on the frontline, meeting with distributors and customers. Fieldpiece Europe was established in 2017, and we have grown continuously from a then start-up to a team of direct employees in 7 European countries today. We are looking for a new General Manager to lead the transformation from a start-up to a more mature organization.


This role provides the General Manager the opportunity to join a market leader in the US segment and lead plans to replicate the business model across Europe, whilst respecting and minding its unique culture differences and specific dynamics. The position will see you responsible for defining the commercial strategy, the deployment of its operational execution and the setup of the necessary infrastructure to achieve expected results and ensure successful outcomes.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develop and deploy a long-term strategy for sustainable double-digit growth.
* Directs the development of sales plans and unique marketing solutions necessary to achieve brand objectives and profitable growth.
* Formulates, implements, and monitors sales goals and strategies on a regional level
* Leads evolution of EMEA logistics and repair strategies
* Provides leadership, support, and collaborative focus to the EMEA commercial team
* Coordinates with Corporate Management to plan, revise, and implement sales and marketing strategies.
* Further build the organization and develop talent for sustainable, profitable growth
* Forecasts sales, monitors results, and reports on effectiveness of key investment activities; prepares and monitors budget and P&L.
* Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of the industry.
* Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
* Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
* Directly supervises 5 direct employees and a total team of approx. 25 associates, with expected headcount growth to support sales and strategic initiatives.
* Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
* Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training key employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
* An inspirational leader, capable of leading and adding value to their teams.
* Energetic, performance-based approach, focused on continuous improvement against demanding targets.
* Regularly assesses talent and optimizes the skills to enable aggressive growth targets.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business equivalent
* Min. 15 years of experience in commercial roles in a B-2-B environment. Experience in instrumentation a plus. Min. 5 years leading a Sales team with above-market performance. Experience and success in a mature, performance and process-oriented organization a plus.
* Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
* Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating employees.
* A proven track record of recruiting and developing promoteable talent and building effective commercial teams.
* Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
* Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
* Ability to work with all levels of management.
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organization
* Excellent problem resolution and consultative sales skills.
* Excellent interpersonal, influence, and engagement/empowerment capabilities.
* Results oriented – has track record for delivery of results, takes ownership and is accountable
* Stretch oriented – embraces and thrives on challenging goals and targets
* Continuous improvement and process oriented – familiarity with lean principles, engaging with customers in problem solving and how to apply them in a measurable and sustainable way
* Customer Service oriented – high sense of urgency on providing timely high quality service
* Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
* Proficient on Microsoft office.
* Charismatic and willing to be a spokesperson for the company/brand.
* Fluency in English expected, German language proficiency in addition preferred, mastery of other languages (e.g., Spanish, French) a plus
