The Department 1 is currently seeking an assistant to the department head with the following responsibilities:
Assistant to the Department Head
(Full-time, Grade EG 8 TV-H, Unlimited)

Department 1 consists of four areas: Music Education, Instrumental Pedagogy, Historical Performance Practice and Church Music. Over 400 students prepare themselves for their future profession as artists.
1. Supporting the department head, particularly with general office work, correspondence, meeting preparation and protocol management
2. Planning and participating in examination organization in coordination with the music education, instrumental pedagogy and church music departments
3. Closely cooperating with the HfMDK's Study Service Department on staff allocation and course planning
4. Collecting and preparing data for the department's course catalog
5. Organizing procedures for hiring new staff members
6. Communicating with internal and external partners
7. Maintaining the department's internet presence and public relations
8. Betraying students from the department (e.g. supporting with module registrations, creating seminar lists and coordinating enrollment)
9. Instrument rental: issuing and returning instruments and recording them
10. A completed three-year training as a clerical assistant or equivalent qualification
11. At least one year of professional experience in administration or secretarial services
12. Secure handling of common MS Office programs
13. Excellent German language skills in speech and writing
14. English language skills in speech and writing
