We are looking for a Head of Agricultural Goods Logistics and Project Management to join our Logistics division, based either in our sales region or at our Munich headquarters, as soon as possible.
Job Responsibilities
* Managing and optimizing agricultural logistics, including warehousing, inbound and outbound goods, and inventory management.
* Ensuring compliance with legal and quality standards for storage and transportation of agricultural products.
* Monitoring and analyzing logistics flows, focusing on e-commerce and digital processes.
* Collaborating closely with suppliers, carriers, farmers, and internal departments.
* Planning, leading, and implementing logistics projects such as digitalization, automation, and process improvements.
* Acting as interface between operations management, IT, purchasing, sales, and external project partners.
* Leading and developing a team of dispatchers and project staff.
* Organizing personnel deployment, training, and safety measures.
* Managing project budgets, resource planning, and ensuring timely execution.
* Developing logistics and project controlling reports using Power BI and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Several years of experience in agricultural logistics and/or project management.
* Leadership experience in managing teams and interdisciplinary projects.
* Knowledge of ERP & WMS systems, Microsoft 365, Python, and MS 365.
* Strong communication, organizational skills, and a hands-on mentality.
Preferred Additional Skills
* Further training in project management.
* Experience with lean logistics or digitalization projects in agriculture.
* Knowledge of seasonal logistics processes and product requirements in agriculture.
