About our client
We are working with a leading innovator in the electrical engineering sector, backed by a leading European PE investor. Founded in 2021, they have quickly built a full-spectrum offering, from consulting and engineering to manufacturing, installation, and service, anchored by a high-performance platform integrating multiple specialised firms.
Following a significant transaction, they want to capitalise on this momentum and seek an entrepreneurial and hands-on Head of M&A who will design, drive, and deliver the next wave of strategic acquisitions. Reporting to the executive board and working closely with PE stakeholders, this role offers full-cycle deal responsibility, from sourcing to integration, in a high-growth, agile environment. What the job involves
* Own the end-to-end M&A process: sourcing, evaluation, valuation, execution, and integration
* Define and deliver a compelling acquisition strategy aligned with management and PE investors
* Build and nurture relationships with acquisition targets, founders, advisors, and intermediaries
* Conduct rigorous due diligence, financial modeling, and commercial assessments
* Lead negotiations and coordinate legal, tax, and advisory partners for execution
* Manage integration planning and execution in coordination with operational, finance, HR, and legal teams
* Monitor and analyse market trends, competitive dynamics, and industry developments to inform pipeline and strategy
* Support the wider value creation agenda through post-acquisition performance initiatives and organisational scaling
Who we are looking for
* Academic credentials in engineering, business, finance, or a related field
* Proven track record in M&A, ideally from private equity, corporate development, investment banking, or strategic consulting, especially in mid-market deals
* Demonstrated ability to manage full-cycle transactions, from sourcing to closing and integration
* High analytical rigour with strong comfort in financial modeling and valuation
* Pragmatic, entrepreneurial attitude: hands-on, decisive, and execution-oriented
* Outstanding communication and partnering skills, capable of influencing across levels - from founders to C-suite and investor teams
* Strategic mindset with thorough operational understanding of electrical engineering or industrial services (highly advantageous)
* Fluent in German and English
* Willingness to travel
