Core Areas of Impact We're looking for an Operations Intern to join our Freiburg or Berlin office and gain hands-on experience building the operational backbone of a frontier AI lab. This is a 4-6 month internship with a clear path to full-time conversion for exceptional performers. You'll work directly with our leadership team on operations that keep the company running: finance, office management, people operations, and special projects. You'll own real responsibilities, learn how fast-growing AI companies work, and make an impact from day one. This dynamic role offers broad exposure across various functions, allowing you to learn startup operations end-to-end and make a meaningful impact on our company's operational excellence. What You'll Do Operational & Project Support: Coordinate operational projects, ensuring timely delivery and clear communication across teams Financial Administration: Process invoices, manage expense reporting, and support budgeting and cash flow tracking Office Management: Maintain an excellent office environment, coordinate with vendors, and manage supplies and logistics People Operations Support: Assist with hiring logistics, onboarding coordination, and team engagement initiatives Event & Culture: Help organize team events, offsites, and internal activities that build company culture Ad-hoc Projects: Jump in on diverse operational challenges, no two weeks look the same What We're Looking For You're a resourceful, adaptable, and self-driven individual with a strong bias for action, eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced startup environment. We're looking for someone with excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and genuine excitement about operations. This role is perfect if you: Are a student or recent graduate excited to learn startup operations from the inside Have excellent organizational and time-management skills Are comfortable with coordination and detail-oriented work Take ownership of your work and consistently follow through Enjoy variety and thrive without a narrowly-defined role Want to understand how a company actually runs, not just one function Essential Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency required; German is a plus) A proactive and hands-on approach to tackling challenges and learning new things Comfort with detail-oriented work and administrative tasks A genuine passion for startups, technology, and building efficient systems What Makes You Stand Out (Nice-to-Have): Previous experience in an operational, administrative, or coordination role, preferably in a high-growth startup environment or VC / management consulting Experience with accounting software or financial administration Interest in event planning or coordinating team activities Familiarity with productivity or project management tools Interest in event organization or coordinating internal company activities Background in or familiarity with machine learning, data science, or related technical fields is a plus, but not required Location We have openings in both Freiburg and Berlin.
