DSJ Global are seeking a driven and experienced Project Procurement Lead (m/f/d) on a permanent basis for a leading electric vehicle manufacturer based in Munich. This role will sit within the project organisation, acting as the key procurement interface for cross-functional teams, with a strong focus on internal coordination, sourcing strategy, and material cost control.
This innovative automotive group is at the forefront of the EV revolution, known for its cutting-edge technology, sustainability focus, and rapid growth across European markets. The role will be instrumental in aligning procurement activities with project timelines and technical requirements, ensuring seamless collaboration between engineering, R&D, and supply chain functions.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Procurement Projects and will play a central role in steering sourcing plans, managing internal requirements, and driving cost transparency across the vehicle development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the primary procurement interface for project teams, ensuring alignment between engineering, R&D, and sourcing functions
* Define and execute sourcing plans in line with project milestones and cost targets
* Drive material cost transparency and reporting across assigned vehicle projects
* Coordinate internal requirements and ensure timely procurement deliverables across departments
* Lead RFx processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and supplier selection in collaboration with category teams
* Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery objectives
* Monitor supplier performance and support risk mitigation strategies
* Ensure procurement documentation and reporting is aligned with internal governance standards
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in project procurement, series purchasing, or sourcing within the automotive sector or automotive consulting
* Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost control in a project-driven environment
* Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
* Experience with RFx processes, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management
* Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement tools (SAP preferred)
* Fluent in English; any additional language skills are a plus.
Additional Information:
* Location: Munich
* Hybrid working model (2-3 days on-site)
* Salary range: €90,000 - €110,000 per annum
