Your tasks
?
1. As a Software Engineer or Data Scientist AI (d/m/f/x), you will enrich our interdisciplinary team in the field of Artificial Intelligence and bring End2End AI solutions with your expertise directly into practical use.
2. Your main tasks will be the independent design and implementation of cloud solutions, especially in the context of machine learning, deep learning and generative AI.
3. Your role will include coordinating needs with relevant stakeholders as well as designing and implementing infrastructures and solutions, always ensuring the high quality and reliability standards of Mercedes-Benz AG.
4. You will be involved in projects that cover a wide range of aspects of the Mercedes-Benz AG value chain - from internal information management to customer data management and the optimisation of workshop processes. A particular current focus is on the accelerated integration of new AI developments into all areas of Mercedes-Benz AG, for example with the help of multi-agent systems.
5. You will work with a wide range of new technologies and methods of AI and cloud-native software development, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace, LangGraph, and develop in Python as well as JavaScript on Azure, AWS and GCP.
6. You will be actively involved in the design, development and implementation of future-oriented solutions and can also supplement your tasks with requirements, product or project management.
Your profile?
7. With a completed Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification, you provide a solid foundation, with at least five years of practical experience in the AI field being mandatory.
8. Your enthusiasm lies in translating reliable AI into relevant applications, for which you bring solid hands-on programming skills in Java, Python, and SQL; knowledge of JavaScript and frontend development (React) is a plus.
9. You have a strong understanding of DevOps and MLOps approaches and technologies, as well as practical experience in machine learning, NLP, semantic knowledge representation, and deep learning.
10. Your interests in cloud-native development include Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP, with particularly valuable expertise in Kubernetes (including AKS) and Azure Databricks.
11. In addition, you actively follow the latest developments in deep learning, the use of foundation models, and generative AI (including prompt/context engineering and Model Context Protocol), while placing particular emphasis on security, reliability, and scalability.
12. With your strong team spirit, you actively contribute, promote mutual exchange and shared learning, and communicate fluently in both German and English, both spoken and written.
