We are partnering with a growing, people-focused organization to hire an HR Manager who will take full ownership of their People Operations and HR Administration function.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who thrives on structure, compliance, and operational excellence - someone who enjoys building processes, creating clarity, and ensuring everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.
While the title is HR Manager, the core focus is People Operations leadership: owning the systems, administration, payroll, and compliance foundations that enable the business and its people to succeed.
This role is primarily onsite and well suited to someone who enjoys being close to the business and employees day-to-day.
The Opportunity
Reporting into leadership and working closely with Finance, Recruiting, and L&D, you will be the go-to expert for all HR operations and the first point of contact for employees.
You’ll have the autonomy to build, improve, and professionalize processes in a growing environment where many workflows are still being established - making this ideal for someone who enjoys creating structure from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
People Operations & HR Administration
* Own and manage all HR operations and administrative processes
* Create and maintain contracts, templates, and HR documentation
* Establish clear, compliant structures for files, systems, and records
* Build and optimize workflows and process automation
* Develop scalable onboarding and offboarding processes
* Ensure full compliance with German labor law and internal policies
Payroll & Compliance
* Lead end-to-end payroll in partnership with an external provider
* Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll execution
* Maintain audit-ready data and documentation
* Conduct payroll, tax, and internal audits
Employee Support
* Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries
* Manage the HR inbox and ensure timely, high-quality responses
* Guide employees to the right resources and solutions
* Support managers with employee relations and performance conversations
Collaboration & Leadership
* Partner closely with Recruiting and L&D to support workforce needs
* Work with Finance on reporting and compliance matters
* Lead and mentor an HR Assistant
* Help build the HR foundations for future growth
What We’re Looking For
Experience
* Several years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, or People Operations
* Strong experience owning payroll processes and external vendor management
* Excellent knowledge of German labor law (essential)
* Experience with compliance, audits, and documentation best practices
* Proven ability to design and improve processes and workflows
