The Team
We are growing our Global Transaction Tax practice across Germany and looking to strategically strengthen at a senior level in Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Dusseldorf. Our tax practice is unique in that we offer the opportunity to work without audit conflict and truly act as a trusted business advisor across service lines, allowing us access to provide the best service possible at all stages of our client’s development. How you will contribute
As a Senior Director you will manage the following key responsibilities, supported by the wider Global Transactions Tax team:
* Lead teams and work on multiple transaction engagements in Germany, across Europe, and globally, working closely with our Managing Directors.
* Lead in cross-border transactions, collaborating with clients and tax authorities, advising on buy‑side and sell‑side transaction tax projects, including tax due diligence reports, transaction structuring.
* Utilise your extensive tax knowledge to provide a high level of service whilst overseeing the professional development of the team below you.
* Network internally with our service lines and work on external marketing events to build cross‑service line relationships.
* Gain exposure to our senior leadership, and proactively involved in commercial, business development, and marketing activities.
Qualifications
* Proven experience leading Transaction Tax projects across a variety of sectors, ideally at a top‑tier advisory firm.
* Strong academic record and a degree from a leading university or equivalent.
* Well‑developed stakeholder management skills, including managing key client relationships and networking/business development.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Native or fluent German and English are essential. Additional language skills are highly advantageous.
* Highly ambitious and motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset, deep functional knowledge and insight, a blend of operational and commercial skills, and an entrepreneurial approach.
