The department Multi Device Integration (MDI) focuses on the development of innovative MEMS sensors and actuators and their integration into application-oriented systems. The aim of application-oriented research is to realize systems using novel components based on new technologies that significantly enhance the state of the art with intelligent system integration.
What you will do
We are looking for a student assistant to support us with exciting tasks relating to micromechanical systems starting as soon as possible. Depending on your interests, you can work on one or more of the following topics - please indicate in your application what you are particularly interested in:
* MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems) relevant layout generation
* Design and 2D / 3D geometry generation
* Simulation of MEMS
* Toolbox development
* Measurement data evaluation and correlation of design and manufactured structures
What you bring to the table
* You are an enrolled student in Chemnitz, Mittweida or the surrounding area.
* You are studying microsystems technology, natural sciences, engineering, IT, mathematics or a comparable course of study.
* You have very good programming skills in Python.
* You have very good visual and spatial skills.
* You work systematically, independently and conscientiously.
* You are reliable, flexible and motivated.
* You are business fluent in English.
The following skills are also beneficial:
* Knowledge of micromechanical systems and their manufacturing processes
* Experience in dealing with version control systems such as Git
* Experience in dealing with CAD tools
