Job description:
* Develop the IS department in Germany in the context of global IS and local business unit strategies and objectives
* Work with the Corporate IS Senior Manager BUs to agree on scope of local IS services and oversee the day-to-day delivery of these services
* Ensure availability, integrity and confidentiality of all BU data and systems
* Support the rollout, delivery and improvement of global IS services in the BU
* Align the application and service landscape with the corporate service portfolio to achieve synergies;
develop a transformation roadmap for the BU
* Exercise quality management by continuously evaluating and improving performance of local IS service delivery in terms of customer satisfaction and cost
* Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers
* Manage the local IS department’s budget in accordance with corporate IS controlling standards, deliver projects and services in time, budget and scope
* Adhere to all Harbour Energy technology standards, governance processes, business plans and performance metrics
* Develop local IS procedures and formal governance mechanism that comply with corporate standards and local regulatory requirements
* Supports periodic reviews by internal audit, compliance and risk-related functions
* Increase proximity between IS organization and business functions by identifying and solving common challenges such as process simplification and data availability
* Capture demands, assess business cases and translate functional requirements into technology solutions
* Manage BU IS staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising staff performance
* Work with VP Global IS Services & IS Senior Manager BUs to develop workforce plans that ensure IS Operations can supply skilled resources to meet current and future demand across the enterprise
* Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all applicable regulatory requirements, legislation and Harbour Energy HSES procedures
What we expect:
* 10+ years’ work experience in IT or adjacent functions, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
* Experience in the E&P industry or related sectors would be of advantage
* Strong team management capabilities, including experience managing and motivating cross-functional teams as well as third parties
* Ability to perform stakeholder management and balance regional and enterprise priorities
* Expertise in developing and implementing IT strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in both German and English
* Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, IT Security and Data Management, demonstrated through experience in line organization and successful project execution
* In-depth knowledge of cyber intelligence, data privacy, and compliance regulations, particularly those related to product safety and environmental standards is considered a plus
* Familiarity with Operations Technology, such as SCADA systems and ioT would be of advantage
* Proven track record in budget planning and IT controlling, including successfully reducing overall IT expenditure
* Proven ability to capture demands, translate business requirements into technical requirements and successfully deliver technology solutions
* ITIL qualification (Manager at a minimum or similar demonstrated experience) with strong IT operations acumen, including cross-domain knowledge and preferably earlier career experience in an individual contributor role in IT support and operations
* Experience in IT service management covering request, incident, problem, change, continuity, risk, capacity and performance management as well as CSLAM
* A key requirement of the role is not only to maintain functional capabilities but also to develop the discipline to improve ways of working, as demonstrated by results such as the extent to which SLAs and OLAs with the business are delivered and achieved, while simultaneously driving cost efficiency for the BU
