Our client, a global healthcare company, is seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure & Shop Floor Specialist to provide critical technical support in a regulated production environment at our client’s facility in Stollberg, Germany. This role combines hands-on hardware maintenance, shop floor IT operations, and application support to ensure seamless production processes. The ideal candidate will thrive in an onsite, dynamic environment and possess strong technical expertise paired with fluency in German and English.
This is a contractual position, through the end of 2025. With the likelihood of an extension into 2026. This is fully onsite role to perform local production support on shop floor in Stollberg, Germany
Key Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of IT hardware (e.g., servers, workstations, shop floor devices) in compliance with regulatory standards
* Ensure uptime of critical systems in a regulated (e.g., GxP, ISO) production environment
* Provide onsite IT support for production equipment, resolving technical issues promptly to minimize downtime
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, QA, engineering) to optimize shop floor IT systems
* Support and troubleshoot area-specific applications, with a focus on ERP systems (SAP)
* Ensure seamless integration of shop floor systems with SAP and other enterprise platforms
* Manage and query MSSQL databases using SQL for data analysis and system optimization
* Read and interpret existing code to support minor modifications or debugging
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business needs into technical specifications
* Adhere to regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, EU MDR) and maintain accurate records of IT processes and changes
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Applied Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
* 3+ years in IT infrastructure support, preferably in regulated environments (pharma, medical devices manufacturing)
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP) and shop floor IT systems
* Proficiency in MSSQL/SQL and basic programming literacy (ability to read/understand code)
* Knowledge of requirements engineering and system lifecycle management
* Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident management
* Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) to support local teams and SAP systems
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in GMP, ISO 13485, or similar regulated environments
* Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
