HBK is seeking a driven Field Sales Engineer to promote and sell our engineering software portfolio in Germany, with a primary focus on durability and reliability solutions. The specific region within Germany will be determined based on business needs. This is a hybrid role.
As a Field Sales Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise and consultative sales skills to deliver value to customers in industries such as automotive, aerospace, industrial automation, and more. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing relationships, and driving sales of software solutions that support both virtual and physical durability processes.
Fluency in both German and English is required.

Primary Responsibilities
Promote and sell HBK's engineering software portfolio, with a focus on durability and reliability solutions, across Germany.
Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their durability and reliability challenges and proposing appropriate software solutions.
Demonstrate deep knowledge of both virtual (simulation, CAE, digital twins) and physical (testing, measurement, data acquisition) durability processes.
Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and workshops for customers at all organizational levels.
Collaborate closely with product management, marketing, and technical support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and solution alignment.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to generate leads and build HBK's brand presence.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities in CRM.
Provide regular feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to management.
Travel within Germany as required (approximately 30%).
Professional Qualifications
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent technical background.
Proven experience in engineering software sales, ideally in the areas of durability, reliability, or related simulation and testing domains.
Strong understanding of both virtual durability processes (e.g., simulation, CAE, digital twins) and physical durability processes (e.g., lab testing, measurement, data analysis).
Excellent consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (required).
Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience with engineering software and hardware solutions is a plus.
