1. Collaborates with cross-functional colleagues (quality, technical, operations, finance, etc.) to ensure all category sourcing activities are aligned to a common set of goals and priorities
2. Establishes category plans and priorities globally and ensures alignment with divisional business priorities
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
3. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or technical field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
4. Minimum of 7 years procurement/sourcing experience in mid to large multinational companies, with strong category/business engagement experience
5. Business insight – knows how to assess market/business requirements dynamics and negotiate agreements that yield meaningful business value
6. Experience working in highly regulated industries
7. Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year over year results
8. Demonstrated consultative/collaborative style in performing sourcing activities
9. Influences without authority to motivate a cross-functional team in multiple geographies.
10. CPSM or equivalent is preferred
11. Hands-on manufacturing and/or supply chain experience is preferred
12. Experience in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred
13. Ability to travel 25
