What You'll Do:
• Responsible for the area of Supply Chain and Procurement at the manufacturing site in Crottendorf, Germany, you act as SME and team leader providing training and daily SAP support to PELI EMEAI production facilities for purchasing, planning, production and inventory management.
• You maintain the purchasing master data on the ERP system and MRP signals, liaising with vendors to assure agreed delivery times are met and that robust supplier relationships are developed through assistance in negotiating supply contracts for goods and services.
• You also take part in cost down projects and assist with regular supplier audits and reporting on supplier performance, implementing corrective actions.
• You support supply chain risk assessment, in developing new sources of supply, in contract negotiations and in identifying cost reduction opportunities and ensure vendors are compliant with the quality and environmental standards requirements, verifying that purchasing practices comply with applicable law, policies and ethical principles.
• You optimize inventories and material handling by applying lot size and safety stock strategies, standardization on packaging and labelling standards.
• In close interaction with Engineering, QA and SC Operations EMEAI, you are responsible for assuring a constant and reliable supply of quality product into and from PELI EMEAI production facilities.
What We’re Looking For:
• Someone with a minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing and/or production and planning, preferably CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing) certified.
• Experienced with SAP, especially MRP, PTP, PP, MM, MRP and WM/IM modules and proficient with Word, Excel, Power Point and other appropriate software.
• Must have excellent oral, written and presentation skills in English and German, while other languages like Czech would be valued.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with executive-level personnel from both customers and suppliers and to build strong positive relationships with this external as well as with internal stakeholders at all levels in an international setting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills. Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously within established deadlines.
• Must have the ability to resolve differences regarding costs, quality, deliveries, and supplier payments, as well as the ability to drive, implement, and redefine "cost reduction" strategies.
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications to cooperate with engineering department and knowledge of Roto-molding and Injection Moulding as well as Pelican case assembly is desirable.
