My client are looking for a resilient and strategic Supply Chain Site Director to lead the supply chain operations at one of their largest transportation manufacturing sites, around the Kassel area. This site operates in a complex made-to-order environment, and the role is critical to ensuring delivery excellence, operational efficiency, and strong team performance. You will oversee all site supply chain functions - planning, procurement, logistics, inventory, and warehousing - managing a diverse team of over 100 people. This is a high-impact leadership position for someone who can thrive under pressure and drive performance across a fast-moving operation. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end supply chain operations at site level, ensuring on-time delivery, cost control, and service excellence. Manage and develop a large, cross-functional team with a focus on high performance and continuous improvement. Drive planning and material flow in a high-mix, low-volume (MTO) production environment. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering to align supply chain with broader site objectives. Act as the key supply chain voice for the site, reporting to senior leadership and supporting global initiatives. Your Profile Proven leadership in made-to-order or engineer-to-order manufacturing, ideally in transportation or industrial equipment. Experience managing large site teams (100 people) and complex operations. Strong decision-maker with resilience and a hands-on, results-driven mindset. Proficient in ERP systems and lean supply chain processes. Fluent in German and English ; degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or similar.
