About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead hotel operations in Germany. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day hotel management, driving revenue growth, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
The candidate should possess strong leadership capabilities, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of hospitality operations within the German market.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee overall hotel operations including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and guest services.
* Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic planning and operational efficiency.
* Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction and service quality.
* Develop and implement business strategies aligned with company objectives.
* Monitor financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
* Lead, mentor, and manage hotel staff to build a high-performing team culture.
* Ensure compliance with local laws, health & safety regulations, and hospitality standards.
* Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and local stakeholders.
* Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
* Handle escalations, operational challenges, and crisis management effectively.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
* 4-8 years of experience in hotel operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership or General Manager role.
* Strong understanding of hotel management systems and operational procedures.
* Proven track record in revenue management and team leadership.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Fluency in English is mandatory; German language proficiency is preferred.
* Ability to manage multiple properties/operations is an added advantage.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
