Product Development Manager (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
Leading the Product Development team with focusing on the growth of competences, preparing the Individual development plans,
Managing the development of shelf stable New Products from concept through to launch for Branded and private Label
Actively participate and contribute in building the strategic product development plans for Thai Union product portfolio (innovation, renovation, extension, value engineering)
Allocate the appropriate resources and provide technical expertise and support to the Core Project Teams,
Support and lead the scaling of innovations as well as the development and validation of prototypes.
Participate in industrial test runs (e.g., Manufacturing Batch, Half Day Run) including risk analyses (HACCP) before product launches.
Analyze and optimize processes to improve product costs, quality, and implement new technologies.
Collaborate with Thai Union Innovation Hub in the Netherlands to implement innovations and ensure smooth industrialization.
Your profile:
Completed degree in Food Science or a comparable field, with at least 3-5 years of experience in the food industry
Experience in product development, an R&D or NPD environment
Good sensory skills and knowledge of working in food quality systems like IFS / BRC
Problem-solving skills with analytical abilities and basic statistical knowledge
Project management skills and experience working with Microsoft Office 365, ideally also SAP
Management experience in a team-oriented workplace, preferred
ability to lead and develop team staff members
Good communication skills and teamwork abilities
Availability to Travel between European factories of TU Germany
Teamwork skills, proactive working style, curious spirit
Fluency in German and English
Ability to adapt and manage multiple ongoing projects
