About the Opportunity:
As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product's architecture and driving innovation. You will join our expanding team of skilled engineers, working together to develop complex systems that meet the needs of our users.
We are seeking a talented individual who can take technical leadership and ownership of back-end product development, architecting and writing code that meets the demands of our customers.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to mentor and coach junior engineers, cultivating a DevSecOps culture and pragmatic engineering attitude. You will also drive the team's agile build-it-ship-it attitude by shipping large-scale consumer products.
You will be responsible for taking a lead on back-end development initiatives, making technical decisions that enable the team to move forward quickly. To succeed in this role, you will need experience with Java or Kotlin, as well as expertise in architecting and developing complex systems for Continuous Delivery in a cloud-based environment.
Key Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in building digital products
* Experience architecting and developing complex systems for CD in a cloud-based environment
* Leadership experience, including tech mentoring and working with cross-functional teams
* Familiarity with Agile technical setups (e.g. Scrum, CI/CD, DevOps, Cloud)
