Director of Operational Excellence
As a Director of Operational Excellence here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. This role is responsible for developing and implementing the operational excellence strategy, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency, and leading cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. The Director monitors and analyzes operational performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful execution of operational excellence initiatives. With strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, the Director of Operational Excellence inspires and motivates teams, drives change management, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
You will report directly to our Vice President of Materials & Process Excellence and you'll work out of a Honeywell location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the organization by driving operational efficiency and effectiveness. You will develop and implement the operational excellence strategy, identify areas for improvement and efficiency, and lead cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• As the Focal Lead for the Process Improvement Team, unify cross-functional teams to thoroughly investigate issues and opportunities within your assigned SBU. Provide insights, understanding, corrective actions, and implementation plans for improvement.
• Partner with SBU leaders to implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing end-to-end operational processes.
• Drive rapid transformation initiatives through the creation and deployment of X Matrices, supporting SBUs in enabling growth and removing execution barriers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational, process, and delivery challenges.
• Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide regular executive summaries and communications on findings, the status of improvement opportunities, and timelines for recognized benefits.
• Prioritize initiatives based on customer feedback and revenue opportunities, ensuring benefits are recognized and documented through finance and JIRA.YOU MUST HAVE
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in operational excellence or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Experience in driving change management and process improvement
