Your Responsibilities As a Junior Information Security Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting Jedox’s information security operations. You’ll contribute to maintaining and improving our compliance with international standards, assist in responding to customer and prospect security inquiries, and work across teams to uphold the integrity of our systems and services. Support regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, and audit readiness. Contribute to the maintenance of our ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 9001 certified management systems. Work with the Value Desk and cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Product, etc.) to respond to RFPs, security questionnaires, and due diligence requests from prospects and enterprise customers. Assist in developing and updating internal security policies, procedures, and awareness training. Support continuous improvement of Jedox’s compliance with SOC 2, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain documentation for risk assessments, incidents, and security control implementations. Help manage external security ratings and trust portals (e.g., UpGuard, BitSight ). Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices. Your Profile Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Industry certifications are a plus (e.g., CompTIA Security, ISO 27001 Foundation, etc.). Familiarity with key information security and quality standards/frameworks: ISO 27001, ISO 9001, SOC 2, and the CSA STAR Level 2 Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and cloud security. Experience or familiarity with security platforms such as Bugcrowd, UpGuard, BitSight, and Microsoft Azure Security Center. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Fluent in English; German is a plus but not mandatory. Enthusiastic about learning and developing a career in information security.
