Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Global Export Compliance Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring our global operations comply with international laws and regulations.
This is a pivotal role where you will protect our business from disruption, avoid penalties, and ensure legal security for the company and its employees.
You will lead and shape export compliance on a global scale, directly supporting our success in international markets. As a critical partner to both the business and management, you will integrate export control measures into daily processes and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a robust global export control programme, ensuring compliance across all countries where we operate.
* Lead a global team of nine export control specialists located in Germany, Denmark, Singapore, and the US.
* Advise our leadership on relevant export compliance issues and report any non-compliance matters to the Leadership Team.
* Provide expert guidance and training to ensure full adherence to export regulations across all teams.
* Act as the primary consultant to management on export control matters and support operational teams in day-to-day compliance.
* Proactively integrate export control considerations into business decisions to address legal requirements at an early stage.
* Oversee internal audits, drive continuous improvement, and manage regular reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to our management.
Requirements
* Extensive experience in export control management, with in-depth knowledge of US (ITAR/EAR) and European regulations.
* Proven leadership skills with a talent for team development, strategic thinking, and clear communication.
* A goal-oriented and proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail.
* Strong familiarity with operations and customer support processes in a global business.
* The ability to review, correct, and recommend changes to official government documentation and company reports.
* A solid understanding of related regulations, including trade controls, sanctions, and embargoes, as well as the implications of employing foreign nationals.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Full professional proficiency in both written and spoken English.
