The department Ref.IV / DIS - Data Protection and Information Security bundles the tasks of IT security and data protection for Nuremberg's schools. We evaluate and develop binding, appropriate guidelines, continuously monitor security activities, analyze risks and ensure that digital learning and administrative processes are legally compliant and reliable at all times.
In close cooperation with the municipal ISB, the DPO and other specialist departments, we advise on all issues relating to school-related IT security and data protection, support projects and ensure that all legal and normative requirements are implemented in a practical manner.

These are your tasks
* Active participation in the development and implementation of strategies for IT security and IT data protection in the school sector
* Participation in strategic IT security
• Operational IT security
* - Implementation and enforcement of security standards and policies, including the detection and handling of security incidents and the implementation of prevention measures
* - Carrying out regular reviews and risk assessments
* • Advice, information and training on IT security and IT data protection
* • Close cooperation with other municipal departments, in particular school IT and municipal IT, to ensure a holistic IT security concept
This is your profile
You need one of the following qualifications for the job
* Bachelor's degree or diploma [FH] in computer science or business informatics or
* Other qualifications (e.g. IT specialist [f/m/d]) with extensive relevant skills and experience and at least two years of relevant professional experience or
* Civil servant (f/m/d) of the 3rd QE / in the higher civil service, career path natural sciences and technology, specializing in administrative informatics, or
* Civil servant (f/m/d) of the 3rd QE / in the higher service, administration and finance career path, with at least three years of relevant professional experience and extensive relevant skills and experience, or
* Administrative specialist (f/m/d) (Fachprüfung II) with at least three years of relevant professional experience and extensive relevant skills and experience
You also have
* Certification(s) in IT security and/or data protection
* Willingness for ongoing, independent further training
* On-call duty in the event of acute IT security incidents (including weekend / evening work if required)
* Resilience in the event of acute IT security incidents
* Analytical skills to identify and assess security risks
* Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex issues in an understandable way
* Ability to work in a team and willingness to collaborate with various stakeholders
