What You Build
As Chief Data Architect you’ll lead customer engagements, implementing SAP’s transformative frameworks for Business data. Reporting to the Head of Delivery for Data & Analytics (Premium Engagements) in EMEA & MEE, your role focuses on thought leadership, fostering collaboration, and achieving customer success.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop innovative business data and analytics concepts, strategies, and solutions for clients at national and international levels.
* Advise on implementation and optimization of reporting and planning solutions with SAP Business Data Cloud—from requirements analysis and technical design to prototyping/proof of concept and implementation.
* Transform and modernize existing reporting and planning systems and integrate BusinessAI with high‑quality data.
* Support presales activities and assume responsibility for service delivery, program and project delivery.
* Deepen and expand customer relationships through competent consulting and solution‑oriented approaches in close collaboration with SAP Front Office and SAP Account Teams.
What You Bring
Strategic visionary and trusted advisor with deep expertise in Data & Analytics and data platform architectures, concepts, and a strategic view aligned with SAP’s vision and cloud methodologies such as RISE and Clean Core. Proven ability to align technology and business strategies for impactful outcomes.
* 15+ years of experience as a Data & Analytics Chief Architect, business transformation, and implementation, delivering large‑scale programs/projects in the SAP environment.
* Strong focus on customer success and extensive experience leading large‑scale transformations; skilled in change management for digital adoption and measurable value.
Must‑Have Requirements
* In‑depth knowledge of SAP’s Data & Analytics portfolio (SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Warehouse, S/4 Embedded Analytics) and integration with SAP BusinessAI, SAP RISE, Clean Core, and SAP Business Technology Platform.
* Strong networking skills within SAP and externally; ability to build trusted relationships with leaders, including CIOs and CTOs.
* Proven success in guiding digital transformations and leading change management initiatives.
* Strong ecosystem understanding of Data & Analytics in SAP (Development, Product Management, Sales, Enterprise Architecture) and external partners/vendors.
* Cross‑industry expertise with deep knowledge in at least one industry to build relevant use cases for Business data platforms.
* Basic understanding of SAP processes in Finance, Logistics, Sales and Distribution, Material Management, etc.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills (C1 level) in German & English.
Nice‑to‑Have Requirements
* Experience integrating AI and emerging technologies to drive transformation goals.
* Knowledge of S/4HANA and business transformation opportunities.
* Certifications related to SAP Data & Analytics products.
* Change‑management expertise and a history of driving organizational change.
* Industry certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Enterprise Architect, TOGAF) that position you as a thought leader in enterprise architecture.
