Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of histological sections using rotary and sliding microtomes
Processing of fresh biopsies and embedding of tissue
Sample processing: H&E staining, macrodissections, and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)
Sample management: archiving and de-archiving of samples, as well as preparation for sample shipment
Preparation and execution of orders
Maintenance and regular servicing of laboratory equipment
Working in a regulated environment (GCP)
Creation and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Documentation and analysis of results
Database entry and maintenance (electronic recording and documentation of all processes using LIMS)
Preparation and follow-up of internal and external audits
Support in the establishment and validation of new analyses
Qualifications / Experience:
Successfully completed training as a BTA, MTLA, CTA, or biological laboratory technician
Initial work experience in the aforementioned tasks is desirable
Good command of both English and German
Proficient in using the MS Office package
Structured, responsible, and independent working style
Strong communication skills and team spirit
Additional CT-Gyn qualification (DGZ) or other cytology skills are beneficial
