The primary purpose of the Sales Controller is to act as the financial conscience and strategic partner to the sales organization.
This role is responsible for optimizing commercial performance by providing rigorous analysis, accurate reporting and actionable recommendations regarding sales results and profitability. The Sales Controller will ensure that commercial decisions (e.g., pricing, discounts, bonuses, terms) are financially sound and aligned with the company's strategic goals and profitability targets.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Business Partnering: Act as a dedicated financial co-pilot to the sales and Key Account Management (KAM) teams, embedding financial rigor into commercial decision-making.
2. Trade Term Strategy & Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of trade terms, from creation and calculation to the verification and administration of all customer-facing financial conditions (bonuses, prices, discounts) in SAP.
3. Profitability & Performance Analysis: Lead the analysis of price, margin, and product mix performance. Translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for the sales department.
4. Optimization & Value Creation: Identify uneconomical pricing constellations and partner with sales to optimize commercial conditions, directly contributing to margin improvement.
5. Financial Accuracy: Ensure all customer bonus provisions are correctly calculated and maintained, safeguarding financial reporting.
Qualifications:
6. University degree in relevant faculty (Economics, Business Administration or similar)
7. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience- preferably in FP&A / controlling
8. Strong communication, negotiation and presentationskills
9. Analytical and conceptual thinking
10. Be able to work effectively with various cross-functional teams
11. Have a structured and conscientious approach to work
12. Persuasive and assertive
13. Strong English and German language skills (written and spoken)
