Hardware Developer (Power Electronics) - Stuttgart area - Up to €95,000 (d / m / w)
Responsibilities
Development and optimization of power electronic systems with a focus on resonant circuits for low-frequency AC-DC and DC-DC high-voltage conversion
Modification and improvement of existing circuit topologies rather than ground-up development, with emphasis on reliability and efficiency
PCB design and layout, including multilayer boards (e.g., 3-layer PCB)
Contribution to system integration projects, ensuring smooth interaction between various modules and subsystems
Involvement in projects using PFC converters (AC-DC conversion), as well as PCB design for auxiliary electronics such as HMI control units
Circuit design, simulation, laboratory validation, and type testing of electronic assemblies (with PSpice and LTSpice planned for future simulation workflows)
Selection, specification, and integration of suitable power electronic and control components
Preparation, updating, and maintenance of technical documentation
Requirements
Completed a degree Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or similar
5+ years experience in Power Electronics, including relevant topologies (PFC) and AC-DC/DC-DC converter design
Knowledge and experience working with SiC systems for advanced power electronics, and consequently knowledge in wide bandgap properties
Experience in PCB design (Altium) and circuit optimization
Strong skills in circuit design and simulation tools (PSpice, LTSpice)
Practical knowledge of high-frequency (HF) and high-voltage (HV) applications is a bonus
Familiarity with HMI systems, and modular device development is advantageous
Proficiency in German and English is mandatory
