Your Job:
1. Synthesize, characterize, and control lattice distortions in atomically defined oxide thin films, based on state-of-the-art thin film technologies and characterization methodology.
2. Demonstrate the control of lattice distortions by means of strain and substrate interactions, and correlate their functional performances to the degree of Jahn-Teller distortions.
3. Explore the performance dependencies in catalystic reactions such as the OER (water splitting) and high temperature oxygen exchange reactions.
4. Perform active research on the materials synthesis, characterization, and catalyst fabrication.
5. Receive individual trainings to learn state-of-the-art methodologies, comprising pulsed laser deposition (PLD), atomic force microscopy (AFM), advanced X-ray diffraction (XRD), electrochemcial characterization and high-temperature transport measurements.
