As a System Engineer (m/f/d) Functional Safety in the "Naval and Ground Radar Systems" department, you will be responsible for the functional safety of complex radar systems for maritime and ground-based applications. You will accompany the entire life cycle - from the initial offer phase to series development and redesigns.

Your tasks
7. Safety planning: Definition and creation of safety plans for functional safety in the overall system.
8. Analytics: Carrying out safety analyses such as FHA (Functional Hazard Assessment), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
9. Requirements engineering: Definition of safety-related requirements at various system levels.
10. Architecture consulting: Participation in the system architecture and evaluation of design changes from a safety perspective.
11. Hazard Management: Administration and maintenance of a hazard tracking system.
12. Verification: Definition and assessment of verification methods and inclusion of safety issues in test specifications.
13. Safety Case: Compilation of safety evidence in comprehensive safety case reports.
Your profile
14. Degree: Completed studies (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) in physics, electrical engineering, computer science, aerospace or a comparable field.
15. Expertise: Sound experience in functional safety(FHA, SSA, SSPP, FMEA) in highly regulated industries (e.g. aviation, nuclear energy, rail or automotive).
16. Knowledge of standards: Very good knowledge of IEC 61508 as well as MIL-STD 882E.
17. Software skills: Confident handling of MS Office; knowledge of requirements engineering tools such as DOORS is expressly desired.
18. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, sense of responsibility and strong communication skills in multidisciplinary teams.
19. Languages: Business fluent in German and proficient in English.
