Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile ERP Technical & Functional Lead to join our team at our automotive electronics manufacturing facilities in Neckartenzlingen, Germany. The SAP SME will play a key role in ensuring that SAP system configurations and functionalities align with the evolving needs of key business users across multiple functional areas. This individual will serve as the primary liaison between business units and technical teams to support and optimize SAP modules, ensuring high system reliability and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with key users and stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into functional SAP solutions.
* Provide expert-level support for SAP modules, including but not limited to SD (Sales and Distribution), MM (Materials Management), FI/CO (Finance & Controlling), PP (Production Planning), and WM (Warehouse Management).
* Review, analyze, and recommend configuration improvements to optimize business processes and system performance.
* Support functional and technical problem resolution, working with internal teams and external partners as needed.
* Understand and manage EDI transactions, ensuring seamless integration and timely data exchange between SAP and trading partners.
* Coordinate with EDI platforms such as Seeburger to monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance EDI workflows (experience with Seeburger is a plus).
* Provide input on SAP upgrades, enhancements, and implementation projects.
* Document business processes, workflows, configurations, and user manuals as part of knowledge management.
* Address all audit-related inquiries and coordinate the immediate remediation of any findings.
* Train and mentor internal SAP users and junior support staff.
* Liaise with BASIS and ABAP teams to ensure proper system performance, custom development, and system integrity (direct BASIS experience is a plus).
Requirements:
* 10+ years of progressive experience in SAP functional and technical support, including configuration and troubleshooting.
* Strong understanding of SAP ERP security to include role design and segregation of duties.
* Deep understanding of SAP ECC architecture and module interdependencies.
* Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional SAP processes in a manufacturing environment, ideally in automotive or electronics sectors.
* Experience working with or understanding EDI workflows; Seeburger platform experience is a strong plus.
* Familiarity with SAP BASIS concepts is beneficial but not required.
* Experience in navigating TISAX certification requirements as pertaining to ERP is a plus.
* Fluent in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with international stakeholders.
* Fluent in either German or Hungarian.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results.
* Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
