At Crane Chempharma & Energy, we’re looking for a Human Resources Manager to play a key role within our leadership team, supporting operations in Birkenfeld, Germany and Arad, Romania. Reporting to the VP of HR, you’ll help attract, develop, and retain a high‑performing, diverse workforce while driving positive employee relations and business outcomes.


Key responsibilities:

* Serves as a key member of the Crane Chempharma & Energy leadership and Site teams on behalf of the HR function. Sharing accountability for achieving the organization’s strategic goals and profitability targets as outlined in the strategic and operating plan.
* Evaluate human relations and work related problems and partner with leaders to determine effective resolutions, such as additional training, communication improvements, or disciplinary action. Meet regularly with Works Council to create alignment and balance a positive work environment for all associates.
* Lead HR and Payroll teams to deliver timely, accurate, and compliant processes while proactively using HR metrics and data to drive informed business decisions.
* Effectively drive the hiring selection process which includes sourcing, screening and interviewing to develop a robust candidate slate which results in high quality hires that are successful in Crane. Create and maintain necessary documentation that justifies the candidate selected.
* Drive intellectual capital assessment and development process which results in succession development, retention, and organizational performance. This includes execution of campus recruitment strategy to enable identification and development of future leaders.
* Partner with business leaders to develop workforce plans that align to business strategy and operating plans.
* Drive a continuous improvement culture throughout the organization and HR by applying lean tools and overall business system.
* Drive the review process for consistency, fairness, timeliness and effective utilization of the tool by coaching leaders. Ensure fair and equitable merit increase administration.
* Assist in the creation of company policy and drive policy administration ownership to managers.
* Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization. Monitor deadlines (probation periods, fixed-term contracts, reporting deadlines, etc.)
* Attend meetings of managers, supervisors, and work units to facilitate effective communication and ascertain problems that adversely affect employee morale and productivity.
* Ensure that each employee has an opportunity for career development and understands his/her growth opportunities.
* Manage the administration of workers compensation and unemployment benefits.
* Ensure proper administration of benefits information in support of Crane Co. initiatives.


Qualifications:

* Preferred achieved M.Sc. Human Resource Management, M.A. Personnel Management / HRM, or equivalent Business Administration (BWL). Advanced training, Arbeitsrecht, education or applicable professional certificates a plus.
* 7+ years of progressive human resources experience, with an emphasis in a generalist role.
* Minimum of 3+ years of leading HR teams in a dynamic and diverse environment.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify business risks and develop effective mitigation strategies within the business or Company.
* Must have excellent influencing skills, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, results driven environment.
* Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing in German. Strong proficiency in English verbally and writing.
* Must be able to travel Internationally up to 25% of the time.
* Preferred experience with Workday.


Role details:

* Full-time, on-site (Monday–Friday)
* Location: Birkenfeld, Germany
