At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Human Resources department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
HR Business Partner (all genders)
Full-time and permanent
to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of strategic HR management and business success in a global, innovative environment.
Key responsibilities:
1. Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing high-level guidance on labor law, strategic workforce planning, organizational development, performance and team development, and employee relations (e.g., terminations, disciplinary actions, mutual agreements)
2. Proactively support and coach managers in decision-making and leadership by leveraging HR tools, processes, and change management strategies
3. Collaborate closely with Global HR Business Partners to ensure aligned and effective HR strategies across the business function
4. Partner with the works council on matters such as hiring, transfers, and terminations, ensuring compliance and constructive dialogue
5. Support the recruitment of executives, including participation in interviews upon request
6. Drive and support the rollout of global HR initiatives, such as leadership development programs
7. Lead or contribute to HR and cross-functional projects, including project management and change management responsibilities
8. Independently resolve procedural, labor law, and works constitution law issues, establishing best practices and standards
9. Utilize HR analytics and reporting to advise managers, support team development, and ensure internal HR quality standards
10. Foster continuous collaboration with local and global HR colleagues (HR BPs, Recruiters, HR Advisors, Centers of Expertise) to challenge and improve HR processes and standards
Qualifications:
11. Academic degree with a focus on Human Resources Management or a related field
12. Several years of relevant HR experience in industrial or similar corporate environments
13. Deep expertise in German labor and works constitution law, with practical experience in applying HR processes
14. Proficiency in digital and automated HR systems and tools
15. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to recognize patterns, make pragmatic decisions, and communicate them diplomatically
16. Advanced Excel skills and a strong understanding of HR metrics and reporting
17. High level of assertiveness, empathy, and the ability to influence with sensitivity to context and people
18. Excellent communication skills across all hierarchical levels, with a confident and approachable demeanor
19. Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
20. Enthusiasm for innovation, people development, and managing multiple priorities effectively
21. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO industry is a plus
