Description The Long Procurement Organization (LPO) leverages technical excellence to develop best TCO solutions to secure the ArcelorMittal’s supply chain. We are looking for a Buyer for our General Industrial Services (GIS) in Duisburg About the role - Actively participate in the strategic procurement activities for GIS subcategory of spend for the mills/sites - Build transparency of subcategory spend in a hub and drive cost reduction - Work closely with internal customers and logistics people in sites to endure effective strategic procurement and business continuity across at every site - Together with Lead User and Users collaborate in the search and implementation of Progress and TCO Actions - Work closely with Lead Buyers and logistics people in conducting research on supply markets, price benchmarks, and supplier profiles - Participate in Transversal Projects/Initiatives Across Clusters to ensure share of Best practices Key Responsibilities - Execute supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting for the site. - Develop and maintain supplier profiles: Manage Supplier relationship and monitor contract compliance - Deliver savings and subcategory KPI targets and assist Lead Buyers with necessary analyses: o Spend data analysis and basic financial analyses o Performance reporting o Category strategy development (e.g., supply market research, price benchmarks) o Supplier profile maintenance - Achieve effective procurement and business continuity by cooperation with Lead Users across sites - Participate in transversal working groups and projects Your profile: • You graduated as/hold a/have a Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering or Supply Chain. • You have a track record in Procurement and should you have 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, this will be an asset • As a genuine buyer, you have problem-solving and analytical skills and a good ease facing numbers. • You have a good technical knowledge of contracts and targeted systems but also in project management and negotiation. • You combine a strong personality/leadership and communication skills with an appetite for reducing costs and for finding information on innovative industry trends and for market analysis. • Result and Customer oriented, you are able to work under deadline pressure and to manage the change • As our contracts are very important both for our customers and EBITDA plants, reliability is one major key for success • You are fluent in English and German. Other additional European language is appreciated.
