My client is a global leader in sustainable energy technology, delivering cutting edge Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) tailored to support the evolving needs of the wind power industry. Their mission is to drive the global transition to renewables by integrating advanced storage solutions that enhance grid stability, enable optimal use of wind generation assets, and support a more resilient, low carbon power infrastructure.
As the demand for energy storage continues to grow alongside large scale wind deployment, they are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join their expanding team. In this role, you will focus specifically on developing commercial opportunities and strategic partnerships with leading wind energy developers, I s, and utilities, helping clients maximise the value of their wind assets through co located and standalone BESS solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand BESS sales within the wind energy sector, driving revenue and market share across key European markets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in onshore and offshore wind, including developers, utilities, EPCs, and grid operators.
* Identify opportunities for co location of BESS with wind farms, positioning storage as a key enabler of energy dispatchability and market optimization.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and project management teams to ensure smooth delivery of tailored BESS projects for wind applications.
* Monitor industry regulations and policy changes related to wind energy and storage integration, translating insights into actionable sales strategies.
* Conduct regular account reviews to track performance, identify growth opportunities, and ensure exceptional client satisfaction.
* Lead negotiations, develop customised proposals, and close complex deals involving BESS deployments for wind generation clients.
* Act as a trusted advisor on BESS technology, helping clients understand the technical, operational, and commercial benefits of integrating storage into their wind portfolios.
* Represent the company at wind focused industry events, trade shows, and conferences, promoting their leadership in the storage for wind segment.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Bachelor''s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
2. 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or key account management in renewable energy, ideally with a focus on wind energy and/or battery storage.
3. Proven track record of driving sales and strategic partnerships in the wind and BESS market across Europe.
4. Strong technical understanding of BESS technologies and their application in wind generation and grid integration.
5. Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
