Project Manager ERP Implementation (m/f/d)

In this key role, you take full responsibility for the entire ERP implementation – from strategic planning and operational steering to the successful go-live and stabilization phase. You actively shape the transformation, support the organization through change management, and guide both internal and external stakeholders safely through all project phases.
This is one of the most challenging and influential positions within the company – ideal for individuals who enjoy responsibility, drive transformation, and successfully manage highly complex projects.
Your Tasks
1. Lead the entire ERP implementation or migration project from initiation to go-live and post‑go‑live support.
2. Define the project strategy, roadmap, milestones, and resource planning.
3. Assemble and lead a cross-functional project team, including the selection of implementation partners.
4. Analyze and optimize existing business processes and align system requirements with the business functions.
5. Prepare functional and technical specifications and align them with the existing SPA S4HANA template within the Voith Group.
6. Manage and coordinate all internal and external stakeholders (business departments, IT, ERP providers, consultants).
7. Take full budget responsibility and ensure continuous monitoring of time, cost, and quality.
8. Provide regular project status updates to the management team and steering committee.
9. Guide employees through the organizational change process.
10. Ensure user acceptance and sustainable use of the new SAP S/4HANA system.
11. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and decision-making meetings.
12. Oversee the technical implementation and data migration.
Your Profile
13. Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field; alternatively, extensive relevant professional experience.
14. Several years of proven experience in managing complex ERP implementation or migration projects.
15. Solid understanding of core business processes (e.g., production, procurement, logistics, sales, controlling).
16. Experience working with external implementation partners.
17. Strong project management expertise.
18. High level of assertiveness, decision-making competence, and structured working style.
19. Excellent communication skills and confidence in interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
20. Ability to engage and motivate employees and actively drive change (change management).
21. Strong resilience, problem-solving ability, and pragmatic hands-on mentality.
22. Analytical mindset paired with a high sense of responsibility.
