The opportunity
As a Global Engineering Project Manager (GEPM), you will lead the full lifecycle of strategic engineering projects—ranging from major capital investments to global operational programs. Depending on project needs, you may monitor, support/coach, or fully manage initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites.
The GEPM is responsible for leading and executing complex, cross-site engineering pharmaceutical projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements as well as cost, quality, safety, and schedule objectives.
How you’ll spend your day
End‑to‑End Project Leadership
Establish the project scope and define boundaries.Prepare project charters, specifying clear roles and responsibilities.Develop a comprehensive project plan with detailed time schedules.Formulate budget and cost plans, encompassing capital expenditure requests, purchase orders, invoices, and cash flow management.Create a resource plan aligned with forecasted workload requirements.Identify key project milestones and implement management stage-gate reviews.Assess risks and formulate appropriate mitigation strategies.Define project governance procedures, including coordination and communication protocols, an organizational chart, routine workflows, and clear channels between project teams and the steering committee).Lead and coordinate the project team throughout the execution phase, including commissioning and qualification activities as applicable.Provide regular updates on status, progress, changes, risks, and mitigation strategies using standardized reporting to the steering committee.Oversee handover activities to confirm successful project completion.Facilitate lessons learned sessions to generate actionable insights for ongoing improvement.Site Support & Coaching
Support and coach junior PMs in managing strategic projects, providing guidance across all project management activities. Guide implementation of global Teva standards and project management tools. Liaise with other Teva Global Functions to support compliance with established standards and procedures.Coordinate with TLMS (Teva Lean Management System) methodology, focusing on project management practices. Monitor strategic projects led locally by the site engineering teams Your experience and qualifications
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
Engineering degree requiredMinimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industryExcellent understanding of project / program management, including the application of project management tools and methodologies across various project types and environments Demonstrated project and program management expertise. Ability to communicate and present to top management, while translating vision and goals into a work plan Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to coordinate and lead multifunctional teams Experience working within large, complex organizations with multiple interfacesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and writtenStrong business orientation with the ability to set clear business objectivesAbility to manage group discussions, build consensus, and drive alignment on shared strategies and prioritiesAbility to influence stakeholders while working in cross-functional environmentsExcellent command of EnglishWilling to travel aboard based on requirementsAdvantage Qualifications:
