* Develop new business opportunities and secure orders, including adjacent industries.
* Prepare and negotiate annual contracts, pricing, and forecasts in close alignment with internal stakeholders.
* Act as the primary contact for customers, ensuring satisfaction and handling complaints professionally.
* Monitor market trends and competitors, sharing insights to support strategic decisions.
* Maintain accurate customer data and documentation in CRM systems.
* Represent SCHOTT at trade shows and cross-functional meetings.
* Collaborate with cross-functional global teams (Finance, Operations, Marketing) to execute regional strategy.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Educational background in Optics, Electronics, Physics, or a related Engineering discipline, combined with at least 5 years of proven success in technical sales within an industrial environment.
* Strong understanding of electronics, optical materials, and components, with the ability to translate technical specifications into customer solutions.
* Demonstrated ability to develop strategies, negotiate contracts, and close deals with high-value customers.
* Fluent in English, with additional skills in German being a plus.
* Strategic and analytical mindset, comfortable with market analysis, forecasting, and identifying new business opportunities.
